Read through this entire meditation before you start. Make sure you understand each step – they are all very simple! – before you begin.
You may want to set a low sound timer for the exercises.
Part 1: Breathing ~ 5-minutes
Sit comfortably. Take in a slow deep breath, all the way in. Fill your lungs, feel your belly move out as you breathe in. Exhale. Again, breath in slowly, deeply, filling your lungs … and again exhale. And once more: slow deep breath in, exhale out.
Now breathe normally. Let your body relax. Notice any physical tension, and relax those parts of the body … one by one. Let any concerns you are carrying just drift away. You can go back to them later. This your time to enjoy your right to deep inner peace.
Notice how your body and mind are becoming more and more at ease. Notice how your breathing is calming down. Breath deep again: deep breath in … slow breath out. As you continue to relax and just breathe, with each exhale remind yourself: relax. Now just breathe …
Part 2: Silent Color Meditation ~ 5-minutes
Remain sitting comfortably. Continue breathing and relaxing. Imagine a color – any color you feel especially attracted to at this moment. Imagine a ball of that color, in light form, way above your head.
Now imagine your chosen color beginning to flow ouot of the ball, down … down … down to your head, surrounding your head, then filling your head. Imagine it now loving down your head and into your shoulders … and down again, into your upper back and upper chest … and down the body … down and down until you feel your whole body filled with your color. All the way down your arms, all the way down to the very tips of your fingers, down your legs, into your feet, to the very tips of your toes.
Now imagine your color so filling you from head to toes that it seeps out of your body … and fills the space around you, fills your aura. Let yourself be bathed in your color.
