Aware & Release Meditation

© uknown

This healing meditation is a special meditation designed to help people who are struggling with some kind of pain, either emotional or physical—and who isn’t? It can bring inner peace, healing,  and answers to your most troubling questions. Magic? Nope, just good old meditation. You should do it alone in a place where you feel safe and comfortable, maybe your bedroom.

You should sit quietly and turn your attention to your breath. Take several conscious, deep breaths. Focus your attention on your breath going into and out of your body.

Let your mind quiet down.

Reflect on something, such as an issue, a concern, a question, a feeling, or a pain or problem that you would like to bring healing to. If you sit quietly, you will feel that concern manifest itself somewhere in your body. Get a sense of that concern – you might feel it in your head, chest, stomach, or elsewhere. Feel the energy in your body as you reflect on that concern. Feel a connection to your concern. Notice what that feeling for the concern feels like in your body. Now focus on that feeling, whether it is pain, sadness, fright, whatever. Recognize the feelings you have when you intentionally bring awareness to your concern. You may have these feelings in your heart, body, or mind. Notice how you feel in your mind, body and/ or heart when you recognize those feelings. Notice what you become aware of.

Breathing & Color Meditation (10-minutes)

Read through this entire meditation before you start. Make sure you understand each step – they are all very simple! – before you begin.

You may want to set a low sound timer for the exercises.

Part 1: Breathing ~ 5-minutes

Sit comfortably. Take in a slow deep breath, all the way in. Fill your lungs, feel your belly move out as you breathe in. Exhale. Again, breath in slowly, deeply, filling your lungs … and again exhale. And once more: slow deep breath in, exhale out.

Now breathe normally. Let your body relax. Notice any physical tension, and relax those parts of the body … one by one. Let any concerns you are carrying just drift away. You can go back to them later. This your time to enjoy your right to deep inner peace.

Notice how your body and mind are becoming more and more at ease. Notice how your breathing is calming down. Breath deep again: deep breath in … slow breath out. As you continue to relax and just breathe, with each exhale remind yourself: relax. Now just breathe …

Part 2: Silent Color Meditation ~ 5-minutes

The Power of Silence

The following meditation comes from Jonathan Goldman’s “The 7 Secrets of Sound Healing”, chapter four.

The Power of Silence

The power of silence is extraordinary, but it’s something that few of us take the time and the energy to experience. In certain systems of yoga, meditating on silence is considered to be the easiest and most powerful path to enlightenment.

This next exercise is relatively simple, yet it’s probably one that you haven’t tried — at least not since you were a child. It’s designed to reintroduce you to silence and the power inherent in it.

Find a quiet environment where you won’t be disturbed, and settle into a comfortable position…

Healing & Wholeness Meditation

The following is from this month’s BoM, Bruce Epperly’s God’s Touch (end of chapter one). It is a very simple meditation for healing and wholeness. One of many in his book.

An Experiment in Healing and Wholeness

Healing begins with the most basic experience of life – the simple act of breathing. God’s Spirit blows through all things, giving them life and inspiration. When we open ourselves to this holy breath, we experience balance, energy, clarity, and focus in our lives. Simply breathing in and out, with an awareness of our many thoughts, as well as the One who breaths through us, centers us and delivers us from habitual thought patterns. In the simple act of breathing, we may discover that beneath the shallowness of our usual patterns of breathing and spirituality is the deeper, more centered breath of the Holy Spirit.

In this experiment in healing and wholeness, simply do what comes naturally. Accept the abundant grace that comes with each breath. While sitting comfortably with your eyes closed, take time to do the following:
